experimenting felting the voronoi pattern

.....first experiment felting voronoi shapes using norwegian wool.....

above wet, lightly felted, below is felted completely.....

.....it seemed that all detail was obscured but then I removed the resist.....

......basically they became a little less obscured but they are far from what I am looking for but I can see the seeds of first steps towards this piece.....

......overall, a little disappointing but possibilities are beginning to emerge......
